PTP Coaching LTD is a small limited company with a social enterprise ethos at heart. Founded by Pia and Thomas in 2017 where they started out with a few boats and running river trips and rescue courses, they now operate a lake in the South East London's largest open green space. Beckenham Place Park has gone under major regeneration in the last 4 years going from a golf course to a widely used public park.

Tank is our Lake Manager! He first started paddling at the age of 4 and hasn't stopped since. He is currently a British Canoeing White water Coach, Foundation Safety Rescue Trainer, Senior Sailing instructor and Powerboat instructor. He was an instrumental part of the west reservoirs open water swimming set up and holds his Open Water Lifeguard. He has run water safety across Europe and the UK for paddlers and swimmers alike.
I am the Business Manager for our Beckenham Place Park Operations. I am a British Canoeing Touring Coach,Foundation Safety Rescue Trainer, Dinghy Instructor, Climbing Instructor and level 2 Dragon Boat Coach. I currently sit on the British Canoeing Touring technical team to advise on safety and award content. I have held my Swim event safety award for the past 4 years, I was previously a NPLQ lifeguard before starting my Watersports career. I also was water safety team leader for the recent Slalom World Cup held at Lee Valley White Water Centre.
Hello my names Natalia Valencia Gutierrez and the youngest member of the PTP team.
Born in Lewisham and an active member of the community,
I was a candidate for young mayor of Lewisham in 2017. Although I didn’t win the position it open many doors for me to work with youth of my own age. I have been awarded 2 Jack Petchey awards for my active voluntary work with Youth First via my local youth club. I am looking forward to continuing my work within the community support PTP Coaching with its new venture. Currently Open Water Lifeguard
My name is Abdoul! I am originally from Tunisia where my passion for the water began. Growing up with the Mediterranean sea on my doorstep has meant that my first hobby was all things watersports. My favourite sport is Windsurfing, as a child until my early adult life, i took part in many competitions and was even sponsored by RedBull when I played in the African Olympic. I have lived in the UK now for 7 years with my wife and daughter and am really excited to be able to work back in the water with PTP Coaching. I am Currently Open Water Lifeguard
I’m Max and I’m sixteen years old. Alongside my academic studies, I am an avid surfer. I have nine years surfing experience in places such as the south of France and Lanzarote and I have taught people to surf as well. I’ve been paddling and stand-up paddle boarding for a year. Alongside my water sports, I have a love and passion for motorsport. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and working at the lake. I am Currently Open Water Lifeguard
I’m Finn and I’m eighteen years old, you’ll often find me working the desk. I have been coming to Beckenham Place Park for many years and I’m happy to have the opportunity to work at it’s lake. I have enjoyed my own personal experiences with boating and swimming in lakes and look forward to helping you all enjoy the lake.
Hi, I’m Ottilie (Otty) and I am currently in my last year of sixth form studying Biology, Chemistry and Geography. My passions are triathlon and Cross country running in the winter. I have been competing for around 4 years and within that time I have competed nationally for London. I love being outside, volunteering to do conservation work for endangered habitats and looking after our environment. I am Currently an Open Water Lifeguard
Hi, I'm Courtney I am seventeen I have recently completed my final exams studying health and social care and media studies. I have grown up round the area and have watched how the lake has had a great impact on the community. I haven't worked at the lake long but since I have started I have enjoyed it all and hope that you guys have as much enjoyment out of it as well.
I’m Gabriel and I am 17 years old. I’m a keen water-sports enthusiast and alongside my schoolwork I am an avid kayaker with over 4 years’ experience, as well as a rower at my school boat club. On top of this, I have a passion for aviation and everything plane-related! I love the great outdoors and all things water-based, and I think the lake at Beckenham provides an amazing opportunity for people to get outside and have a great time in open water: I really can’t wait to meet everyone whilst on shift! I am currently FSRT and RLSS Open Water Lifeguard qualified.
Hi! I'm Franky and I have recently completed my last year at school where I studied Physics, Biology and History. I have competed in triathlons for around 7 years which is what introduced me to open water swimming and led me to getting my life guarding qualification. I am also a gymnastics coach and enjoy teaching a large range of abilities from recreational gymnasts to national level gymnasts. I look forward to seeing you at the lake.
I'm Will, I'm 18 and live in Beckenham. I've been a NPLQ and Open Water lifeguard for a couple of years. I enjoy all sports and am off to Uni in the Autumn. When I'm not lifeguarding, I play a lot of football. As I live locally, I am often visiting Beckenham Place Park and it's a great place to work.
Hi, my name’s Henry and I’m an 18 year old from Bromley. Apart from being a lifeguard for over two years, I’m a keen swimmer, skier and rugby player. In September I hope to go to university to study History and Politics. Within the years I have been a lifeguard, I’ve had the opportunity to work at both swimming pools and open water lidos and lakes. I look forward to working with the team at Beckenham Place Park.
